Design, structure, land use, and the letter after the inspection.

William C. Tagland, Architect is a currently licensed architect in Florida. The office is small on purpose: one desk that can draw a house, certify a slab, and file a zoning amendment without handing the job to three consultants.

   Architectural design

   High-end residential and waterfront construction is the core of the practice: custom houses, additions, and the drawings a contractor can actually build from. Design is not a rendering. It is a set of documents.

   Structure & certification

   The studio writes structural specifications and field approvals: two-way slabs, composite decks, LVL headers and posts, pool uplift anchorage, hurricane roof replacements. When a inspector needs an architect’s letter, it should already be on the desk.

   Zoning & permitting

   Land use is design. The studio prepares zoning analyses, overlay studies (NTOD and others), setback diagrams, stormwater reports, and pre-application packages for Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and work beyond Florida.

   Accessibility

   Educational and public buildings need more than a ramp. The studio certifies clear floor space, turning radii, latch-side clearance, corridor width, graspable hardware, and Braille — and is honest about what is deferred.

5. 05

   Interiors & finishes

   Interior architecture for waterfront houses and additions. Selections are specified, not mood-boarded: materials that survive salt air, and a schedule a contractor can bid.

6. 06

   Visualization

   The studio produces high-resolution artwork from plans: dusk elevations, interior views, and slow camera pans. Clients use them to choose height, cladding, and light before a bid set is printed.
